Terms of Use
Last updated October 8, 2026.
The short version
- Sole Brief is for adults 18 and over.
- We publish checked, dated information to help you decide. It isn’t legal, financial or tax advice, and the decision is yours.
- Platforms change their terms, so check the date on any figure and confirm with the platform before you rely on it.
- You’re welcome to quote and link to us with credit. Please don’t copy the registry wholesale or use our name to suggest we endorse anything.
These terms apply to solebrief.com and The Monthly Brief, published by Sole Brief from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. By using the site, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
Adults only
Sole Brief is intended for adults 18 and over. If you’re under 18, please don’t use the site or subscribe to the newsletter.
What Sole Brief is, and isn’t
Sole Brief is a reference: we collect what platforms publish about themselves and what public records show, check it, and present it with its source and date. It’s general information, not professional advice. Nothing here is legal, financial, tax or other professional advice, and we don’t recommend or rank platforms. Decisions about where to sell, what to share and how to handle your income are yours, and for anything that matters to your situation, check with the platform and, where appropriate, a qualified professional.
Accuracy and dates
We work hard to get things right, and every figure carries the date we last checked it. But platforms can change their terms, fees and policies at any time without telling us, so a figure can be out of date by the time you read it. Always confirm with the platform before relying on a figure. If you think something is wrong, tell us at desk@solebrief.com; corrections are made in public and listed on What Changed. How We Check explains our standards.
Links, platforms and our sponsor
We link to platforms, to the sources behind our figures and to other sites. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content, products, terms or privacy practices, and a link isn’t an endorsement. Sole Brief has a sponsor, which is labeled wherever it appears and has no say over what our records say. How We Make Money explains the arrangement.
Using our content
The text, design and compilation of the registry on Sole Brief belong to us, and quotes from platforms and public records belong to their owners. You’re welcome to:
- Quote a figure or a short passage, credit Sole Brief, and link to the page it came from, ideally with the date it was checked. Every record and the Platforms page include a ready-made citation.
- Share links to any page.
Please don’t:
- Copy or republish the registry, a record or a page in bulk, or present our work as your own.
- Scrape or harvest the site with automated tools, or request pages at a rate that burdens the site.
- Use the Sole Brief name or logo to suggest that we rate, rank, verify, certify, approve or recommend any platform, product or person. Platforms may link to their own record in plain text.
For anything beyond this, ask us at desk@solebrief.com.
The Monthly Brief
The newsletter is free. You can unsubscribe at any time from the link in any issue or by writing to us. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we use it.
Using the site fairly
Please don’t try to disrupt, attack or gain unauthorized access to the site or its systems, or use it for anything unlawful. We may block access that puts the site or its readers at risk.
Our liability
Sole Brief is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises that the site will be error-free, complete, current or always available, and we aren’t liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or your reliance on anything published here, including dealings you have with any platform. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that can’t be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of British Columbia, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it there.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top of this page, and the updated terms apply from then on. If any part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.
