The short version
- We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 at level AA, the international standard for accessible websites.
- Every page works with a keyboard alone, with screen readers, and zoomed in to 200%.
- So far the site has been checked by the people who built it. An outside audit will follow as it grows.
- Something not working for you? Email desk@solebrief.com and we’ll reply within 5 business days.
Sole Brief should be usable by everyone who wants to check a platform before trusting it, including people who use a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, zoom in, or need more contrast. This page explains what we aim for, what we’ve done, where we know we fall short, and how to tell us when something doesn’t work for you.
Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the widely used international standard for accessible websites.
What we’ve done
- Every page works with a keyboard alone, starts with a “Skip to content” link, and shows a clear outline on whatever you’ve tabbed to.
- Pages use real headings, lists, tables and labeled form fields, so screen readers can announce them properly.
- Status labels on records, like Verified or Sources conflict, are written out in words with an icon, never shown by color alone.
- Text is set in readable sizes with strong contrast against the background, and pages still work when you zoom in to 200% or read on a small phone.
- Nothing on the site plays sound or moves on its own, and smooth scrolling switches off if your device asks for reduced motion.
- Facts are written into the page itself rather than shown as images, so they can be read aloud, enlarged or copied.
Where we know we fall short
- Sites we link to. Platforms, sources and archived copies of source pages are run by others, and we can’t make them accessible. If you can’t read a source we cite, ask us and we’ll send you the exact passage in plain text.
- We haven’t had an independent audit yet. Sole Brief is new, and so far it has been checked by the people who built it. We’ll arrange an outside review as the site grows, and update this page with what it finds.
Tell us when something doesn’t work
If any part of Sole Brief is hard to use, or you need something in a different format, email desk@solebrief.com. Tell us the page and what happened, and what you use to browse if you’re comfortable sharing it. We’ll reply within 5 business days, and if we can’t fix the problem quickly, we’ll get you the information another way in the meantime.
How we checked
This statement is based on our own review of the site on October 8, 2026, using keyboard-only navigation, browser zoom, small-screen layouts and automated checks. We’ll review it again whenever the design changes, and at least once a year.
